Boutique Assisted Living. Nurse Owned. True Age in Place.
Las Colinas Senior Living at the Arboretum is an intimate assisted living home where every resident is known by name, and where care is led every day by the nurses who own it.
Built by nurses who have seen every side of senior care.
“My wife Viviana and I are both nurses. We've worked bedside on the floor and led communities as directors. We bought Las Colinas to build the kind of home we would choose for our own parents.”
The Owners of Las Colinas
Between us we bring more than 15 years of senior living experience, in roles from floor nursing to director-level leadership, across every level of care:
That background shapes everything here: how we notice small changes early, how we talk with families, and how we train our caregivers.
One caregiver for every four residents.
With twelve residents, that means three caregivers sharing the home. Your loved one is never a room number on a long hallway.

BTexas Type B Assisted Living LicenseMany assisted living homes hold a Type A license, which means a resident may have to move once they need more help. Las Colinas holds a Type B license, so as needs grow, your loved one can stay in the room, routine and relationships they already know.
- Care that adjustsCare plans are updated as needs change, with the nurse owners directly involved.
- Familiar facesThe same caregivers who know their routines and preferences stay with them.
- Honest guidanceIf care ever goes beyond what assisted living allows, we help your family plan the next step together.
| When a resident… | Type A home | Las Colinas · Type B |
|---|---|---|
| Needs staff help to leave the building in an emergency | May need to move | Stays home |
| Needs care and attention during the night | May need to move | Stays home |
| Can no longer follow directions in an emergency, such as with memory changes | May need to move | Stays home |
| Needs more hands-on help with daily care | Depends on the home | Stays home |
Texas licenses assisted living as Type A or Type B. Type B homes may care for residents who need help evacuating, need nighttime attendance, or cannot follow directions in an emergency. Ask us on your tour how this applies to your loved one.
